Tamla Horsford | Accidental-Death Ruling Remains Disputed

Hall of Records · Justice & Accountability · Disputed Death
Authorities ruled Tamla Horsford’s death accidental after concluding that her injuries were consistent with a fall. A later GBI review also found no basis for criminal charges. Her family and advocates continue to dispute the official conclusion.
What Is Known
Horsford, 40, was found dead in the backyard of a Forsyth County home after an overnight gathering in November 2018.
Official Record
The Georgia medical examiner ruled the death accidental and consistent with a fall. Forsyth County closed its investigation, and a later Georgia Bureau of Investigation review did not result in criminal charges or a finding of foul play.
Family / Independent Position
Horsford’s family and advocates have challenged the official conclusion and raised concerns about scene handling, witness accounts and the investigation. Those concerns remain documented, but they do not change the current official manner-of-death finding.
